Etihad Airways and Ellery celebrated 10-year milestones at Mercedes-Benz fashion week Australia
Distinguished Australian designer, Ellery, last night co-hosted an exclusive event – ELLERY X ETIHAD AIRWAYS – together with the Abu Dhabi-based airline at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia.
The event celebrated ELLERY’s 10th year since showing for the first time at Australian Fashion Week with a retrospective of iconic looks from the ELLERY archive. Etihad Airways celebrated its 10 years of service to Australia and global commitment to fashion with the Australian launch of its Runway To Runway program.
Adding further excitement to the occasion, Etihad Airways also unveiled a new fashion initiative – Model Diaries – an original content series featuring IMG Model Georgia Fowler in the inaugural episode. Produced in partnership with Etihad Airways and IMG, the series will follow notable models from take-off to touchdown as they travel to fashion events around the world. Upcoming destinations include Mumbai, London, Abu Dhabi and beyond. To watch the premiere episode starring Georgia Fowler, follow this link.
Distinguished guests from across the Australian fashion industry, including Georgia Fowler, Kym Ellery, Elyse Taylor, Carmen Hamilton, Izzi Manfredi, Kris Smith, Eva Galambos, Christine Centenera, Justin O’Shea, Lisa Aiken, Yasmin Sewell, and The Stenmarks were welcomed to the VIP cocktail event by Etihad Airways cabin crew.
Etihad Airways’ ‘Runway to Runway’ initiative is a unique loyalty and rewards programme specifically designed to support the fashion industry’s international travel requirements. Runway to Runway members are eligible to receive special airfares, airport lounge access, complimentary upgrades, priority boarding and check-in, additional checked baggage allowances, as well as preferred cargo and group travel rates when travelling for photo shoots, showing collections overseas, or conducting business in overseas markets.
As an airline, Etihad has come a long way in a short time – just like its home Abu Dhabi.
The airline was established by Royal (Emiri) Decree in July 2003 and is wholly owned by the Government of Abu Dhabi with a mandate to operate safely, commercially and profitably.
