Etisalat’s special offer: UAE mobile data packages can be used when roaming in KSA and Egypt at no extra charge

Starting today, customers subscribed to any of Etisalat-UAE's domestic monthly data plan can access data while roaming into Mobily-KSA or Etisalat-Misr networks without additional roaming charges. The new promotion extends the customers' local data-usage experience in KSA and Egypt at rates and conditions as applicable in the UAE.

Individuals and businesses subscribed to any Etisalat data pack with enabled roaming service, including MyPlan, MyData Plan, iPhone or BlackBerry domestic packs are eligible to benefit from the new promo. For example, if a customer subscribed to 1GB local data pack uses 300MB in the UAE, the balance 700MB data can be used when roaming on Etisalat Misr or Mobily-KSA networks without additional roaming charges. For out-of-bundle data usage, the roaming customer will be charged at the local rate of the subscribed local data pack. The promotion is valid for three months.

Matthew Willsher, Chief Marketing Officer at Etisalat said, “Etisalat is leveraging synergies between partner operators to accelerate spread of roaming data and internet services in the region. This latest offer makes it more affordable for customers to access data on their smartphones and tablets while travelling to Saudi Arabia and Egypt. At local rates, customers can surf the Internet to their heart’s content and enjoy video streaming, email updates and chatting without having to worry about bill-shocks on extra usage upon returning to the UAE.”

The new special offer extends Etisalat UAE's innovative range of roaming options, which include the 5Mb roaming allowance in every Blackberry Premium package, and the global data roaming plans launched last year.

Etisalat Misr and Mobily-KSA also offer this unique promotion to their local data pack customers roaming within any of the three countries.
