Eton Institute and Smartlife sign a MoU to provide english training to labourers in Dubai

Eton institute, UAE’s No. 1 language training and professional development Institute has joined hands with SmartLife - Adopt a Labourer, a non-profit organization to help improve the lives of blue-collar workers in Dubai.

In addition to Arabic, English is a widely spoken language in UAE and is an important skill essential for personal and professional development. For a labourer to be able to afford to learn a new language or for that matter, get an education is near to impossible since they make minimum wages to just get through the month. Hence in order to improve the lives of labourers and provide them support to learn English, a MoU was signed between Eton Institute and Smartlife in which Eton Institute will support the cause by adopting a trainer and providing teacher training support to SmartLife-AAL training volunteers so they are well equipped to provide quality education to the labourers.

Moaz Khan, Marketing Manager at Eton Institute commented: “As responsible members of an educational community, we have an obligation to provide for the underprivileged within our society. The more awareness we gain for this campaign, the more trainers can be trained which translates into more labourers gaining English language skills and an improved way of living. That is our mission.”

Eton Institute and Smartlife have jointly decided to raise awareness for this campaign in order to maximize their reach and increase the number of trainers taught, who can provide education to more labourers.  The trainers will be provided with a full scholarship as well as constant support with the training course material, lesson planning, and assessments by Eton Institute.
