First group graduates from RJ’s leadership program

Royal Jordanian President/CEO Captain Suleiman Obeidat attended the graduation of the first group that took the leadership program RJ launched last November to improve employees’ skills and to tap into RJ’s expertise to the benefit of the regional and global airline industry.

In the ceremony, Captain Obeidat stressed RJ's confidence in the competence of its human resources and their keenness to work to develop RJ and increase its competitive edge in order to maintain its position as the national carrier of Jordan and a leading airline in the region.

He said that the RJ employees are a mirror of the qualified Jordanian human resources, who possess knowledge and skills, discipline, commitment, work ethics and loyalty.

All these qualities enable RJ to be a pioneer in the air transport industry and on par with the 14 other carriers that form the oneworld airline alliance, beside RJ.   

Captain Obeidat added that the first group members, who number 47, worked over the past three months to accomplish seven ambitious projects in the IT, commerce, HR and other fields where they came up with appropriate solutions and recommendations that departments will implement and make use of.

Captain Obeidat praised the team spirit that prevailed among the participants in the program, as well as their keenness and dedication to attaining the goals of their projects.

He added that RJ will endeavor to invest more in its employees for the company’s progress and will implement its strategic plan to increase revenue, control cost and boost RJ's market share locally and internationally.

Chief Commercial Officer Dr. Majdi Sabri and Consultant Ismail Salah supervised the program. Dr. Sabri said that the leadership program will continue with other 42 staff members in its second batch working to achieve another seven projects that will contribute to finding different work methods, offering better services to customers and improving the work environment.

At the end of the ceremony, Captain Obeidat delivered certificates to the graduates and the sponsors of each group, praising their dedication and efforts, and wishing RJ further success.
