Designed to fit the needs and schedules of working professionals, classes will be held for two hours, one night per week, during a four-week period, and are conveniently scheduled from 6:30 pm until 8:30 pm in the evening. The program will run October 24, 2021, to November 17, 2021, and offers 14 different courses to choose from, in both Arabic and English.

Rodolph Boughaba, the Associate Dean for Executive Education at GU-Q, said: “At GU-Q, we are looking forward to welcoming the public back to our campus for the Community Classes, which supports the university's aim of providing lifelong learning opportunities for personal or professional enrichment. This year's wonderful course titles provide in-depth understanding of several local and global issues and provide participants learning opportunities that advance their knowledge and refine their skills in an engaging, small class environment."

This year’s range of topics includes a course on “Politics of the Pandemic” taught by Dr. Uday Chandra, Assistant Professor of Government at GU-Q, who will take participants on an exploration of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis and how pandemics change politics and society.

Other topics include the global financial system, the impact of the Qatar FIFA World Cup 2022 on Qatari society, the role of religion in diplomacy, emergency and disaster management, creative writing, and understanding of how to use Google more effectively to advertise or promote a business or personal brand.
Community Classes are open to any participants over the age of 18, and no previous qualification or degree is required. Certificates of completion will be given for course enrollment and attendance.
