Georgetown to host prospective students at Admissions Open House

Georgetown University in Qatar (GU-Q) is preparing for the arrival of prospective members of the Class of 2021 this week, as it gets ready to host its annual Admissions Open House. The event, which is open to the public, will take place at GU-Q’s Education City campus on Monday 14 November from 5:30 p.m.
The Admissions Open House is an annual opportunity for interested high school scholars, transfer students, and their parents to learn more about the University’s academic and co-curricular programs.
Visitors can find out more about the admissions process, the Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service degree, life on campus, financial aid, and the career opportunities available to graduates. Future students can also learn more about the majors available, including International Politics, International Economics, International History, and Culture and Politics.
“Our annual Admissions Open House brings the Georgetown community together to meet our potential future students,” said Director of Admissions Joseph Hernandez. “We hope they will use this opportunity to learn more about our values, strong academic history, and the range of educational enrichment opportunities available to Georgetown students.”
The event will include representatives from all parts of campus life, who will be on hand to give presentations, and meet and speak with visitors. This includes team members from academic affairs and career and student development, as well as current students and alumni. The admissions team will also be sharing tips and advice on applying to GU-Q.
Potential applicants and their families can ask questions, watch panel discussions, walk around the fair, and see the campus firsthand through a tour of the Georgetown building.
Doors open at 5:00 p.m. and the event runs from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. While the event is open to the public, interested attendees are encouraged to register on the GU-Q website:
