Gigaset introduces first cordless telephone with touch and keypad function in UAE

Gigaset presents the S820A, the first cordless telephone to combine a full-touch display and a classical keypad in a single device. The phone, launched in UAE with local partner Betterlife Sets new standards in the world of cordless telephony, with its customizability and call-management features. 

The durable 2.4” full-touch display enables the users of the Gigaset S820A to directly access the phone’s most important functions, e.g. call lists or address book. The touch function makes navigation through the telephone’s menu much easier and users can also customize the phone for their personal needs and preferences. The S820A also has a hard keypad to dial numbers quickly or for tone dialing. 

Call Management

The Gigaset S820A also offers a new Call Management feature that lets users modify their reachability by phone during specific timeframes and for selected contacts in the address book. This function prevents anonymous or undesired calls at user-defined times of the day or night. The spectrum of call functions also includes time-controlled call silencing, automatic forwarding of incoming or missed calls, and SMS notification of missed calls. 

Gigaset Quick Sync lets users synchronize picture and music files, as well as Outlook contacts, between the Gigaset S820A and a computer. The internal address book has space for 500 entries, each with up to four different phone numbers, stored in vCard format. Individualized ringer tones and pictures can be assigned to all entries. 

Built-in Answering Machine

The S820A version of this touch and type cordless telephone includes a built-in answering machine with up to 55 minutes of recording time. It offers up to 20 hours of talking time and as much as 250 hours of standby time.

Sustainability

The S820A model is equipped with typical Gigaset features: ECO mode and Eco mode Plus. ECO mode is easy to activate and reduces the transmitting power of the base station by 80%. When ECO mode Plus is activated, the device radiates no radiation whatsoever in standby operation.
