Global Village, the UAE and wider region's leading multicultural family destination for culture, shopping, and entertainment, has claimed its 15th Silver Jubilee Season Guinness World Records™ title alongside partners in the Africa Pavilion. On Monday, February 15th, the "Most beaded bracelets made in one hour" record was achieved with support from 26 African Pavilion exhibitors and artisans, propelling Global Village ever closer to its target of 25 to honour the park's 25th anniversary. A testament to the values of determination, teamwork, and togetherness, the record was achieved at the second attempt after the team fell just short first time around.

Inspired by enthusiastic onlookers who paused their shopping trips to encourage the team, the minimum requirement of 375 was easily eclipsed under the Dubai sunshine. 575 bracelets – made of multiple vibrant colours for which the Africa pavilion is most famous – were completed on the hour mark, much to the audience’s delight. The beads, strings, and needles used to produce them also came from local shops within the pavilion and the bracelets are now on sale to guests.

Global Village welcomes guests daily from 4pm until the 18th of April, with great family dining, shopping and attractions.
