GMC to showcase regional premiere at the 2011 Dubai International Motor Show

GMC will showcase the Sierra HD concept for the first time in the Middle East at the Dubai International Motor Show on November 10, 2011. The vehicle has received international acclaim after being unveiled globally at the 2011 North America International Auto Show. The Sierra HD Concept is an exploration of heavy-duty pickup capability combined with greater off-road versatility. It is highlighted by a bold exterior design, enhanced all-terrain suspension and premium details expected of a GMC – all designed to enable greater access to off-road destinations.
The Sierra HD features wider 1, 853 mm track for greater stability and approximately 76 mm greater ground clearance. It includes specially constructed Fox off-road shocks with remote fluid reservoirs (integrated in the wheel house liners) and electronic front stabilizer bar disconnection. The vehicle has full composite underbody protection and large fender flares that stretch away from the body to cover the 35-inch-tall BF Goodrich tires. It also incorporates a number of industrial-grade lighting elements to provide greater visibility for safer driving where stars may be the only other source of illumination.
“The Sierra HD concept delivers all the exceptional capabilities of the Sierra HD and applies them to the toughest driving environments, taking GMC’s outstanding new HD platform to greater heights. Now making its regional premiere in the Middle East, the GMC Sierra HD delivers the exceptional capabilities of the Sierra HD – hauling, towing and performance – and applies them to the toughest driving environments,” said Adrian Enciso, GMC Regional Brand Manager.
In addition to the Sierra HD Concept, the 2012 GMC line-up on display will also boast the renowned Yukon, Yukon XL, Acadia and latest mid-size crossover Terrain, the latest vehicle to join the range.
