Google Street View brings Qatar’s football stadiums to the world

Google launched its first-ever Street View imagery in Qatar, making it the 5th country in the Middle East and North Africa to be captured using the Street View car. The current imagery highlights the exterior of four football stadiums; Lusail Stadium, Al Bayt Stadium, Khalifa International Stadium and Education City Stadium.

The stadium's exterior imagery helps football fans from all over the world get a glimpse of how the stadiums look, and the infrastructure built around them. The imagery also enables further improvements to Google Maps in Qatar, and can be accessed by clicking on the Street View yellow icon on Google Maps.  

The Street View car, equipped with cameras to capture panoramic imagery, is currently driving all over Qatar to capture additional streets. The next wave of street imagery in Qatar is planned to roll-out early next year covering locations such as Old Al Rayyan, Jabal Thuaileb, Rawdat Al Khail amongst 90+ other locations.
