In an effort to strengthen its philanthropic efforts in the region, THE Group, the retail pioneer behind Cozmo, Readers, Hamleys, M&Co, and British Home Stores (BHS), recently signed an agreement with Charity Clothing Bank – Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization (JHCO) to help less fortunate people through THE Group’s “Pass it On” initiative. Under the cooperation agreement, THE Group will allocate all the donated clothes, shoes, toys, and bags collected in the “Pass it On” containers to beneficiaries of the Charity Clothing Bank all over the Kingdom.

This step is driven by THE Group's corporate responsibility strategy and emphasizes its endeavor to raise its customers’ awareness of social issues and engage them in addressing community issues and challenges.

Commenting on this agreement, Imad Bukhari, CEO of THE Group, emphasized the company’s eagerness to be an effective positive force in society, not only with its inventory of high-quality products, but through its activities and developmental programs in the Kingdom. He also praised the efforts of the Charity Clothing Bank in helping to achieve the royal vision and the directives of the Hashemite leadership. By extending a helping hand to all those in need in Jordan and abroad, JHCO helps to alleviate the difficult living conditions found in Jordan and gives locals more sustainable opportunities.

The “Pass it On” initiative, launched by THE Group in 2014 as a way to help the less fortunate, provides a platform that allows customers to be part of a positive change in society. Customers can drop off clothes, bags, toys, shoes, and used books to donation receptacles available in Cozmo’s parking lot near Seventh Circle.
