Gulf Bank sponsors INJAZ Kuwait’s ‘Company Program Competition’ 2013

Gulf Bank has announced its sponsorship of INJAZ Kuwait’s “Company Program Competition” 2013 for student companies. The competition will be held under the patronage of H.H. the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah on the 8^th June 2013, at the National Library of Kuwait. Over 300 students will participate in this one day event to showcase their businesses and expand their creative and educational capabilities. 

The “Company Program Competition” is an annual event organized by INJAZ Kuwait attracting students from a wide range of Kuwaiti schools each year.  Participating students will be given the chance to set-up their own companies and market their products, under the guidance of volunteer experts and professionals, and then present their companies individually to a panel of judges. The panel of judges will choose a local winner, who will then be invited to attend the Regional INJAZ company competition the following academic year. Gulf Bank’s General Manager – Human Resources, Salma Al-Hajjaj, will be part of the panel. 

The competition aims at encouraging young students to consider a business career and to educate them about the opportunities and skills associated with establishing a business and becoming young entrepreneurs. The competition is interactive and provides the students with many opportunities to collaborate and learn from each other. 

Gulf Bank will have an interactive stand with a competition for students. The competition will entail a case study whereby students will have to answer questions correctly to win token prizes. A Gulf Bank team will also be present throughout the day to assist students who wish to open accounts. 

The Bank continues to sponsor INJAZ Kuwait as part of its commitment to encourage and develop professional business skills amongst youth.
