Gulf Bank Wins Award for Youth Empowerment

The Arabian Society for Human Resources Management (ASHRM) have announced Gulf Bank as the winner of the 2018 Youth Empowerment Award, presented for the bank’s outstanding AJYAL Development Program.
ASHRM is a not-for-profit organization that aims to be the 'Regional Voice of HR'. The society hosts annual conferences, which are considered the premier thought leadership events in the GCC for business leaders, heads of HR, resourcing and talent.
The prestigious award was accepted by Gulf Bank Human Resources General Manager Mrs. Salma Al Hajjaj accompanied by Assistant General Manager Mrs. Jennah Al Mattar during an award ceremony held in Dubai on the 27th of March. The Award was presented by ASHRM President Mr. Abdulhadi Al-Mansouri and Chairwoman Ms. Huda Al Ghoson.
On the occasion Mrs. Al Hajjaj stated, “The AJYAL Development Program is the Bank’s leading program for youth empowerment, and we aim to nurture young Kuwaiti talent and develop them into holistic professionals, helping mold the students of today into the leaders of tomorrow. The Society’s recognition of our efforts only goes to show how much we dedicate to the youth and their education, one of the core pillars of the Bank’s mission.”
Mrs. Jennah Al-Mattar also added, “We are proud of the recognition bestowed upon us by the Arabian Society for Human Resources Management. Their stamp of approval indicates that Gulf Bank’s efforts in youth empowerment have been not only effective but successful.”
The AJYAL Development Program is an iconic initiative developed by the Bank with the aim to nurture young Kuwaiti talents early in their career, and prepare them for future leadership positions at the Bank. The six-month, intensive training program is designed to cover every facet of banking, from the basic principles such as financial economics, banking laws and regulations, corporate and retail finance to more focused areas such as risk management, anti-money-laundering, banking ethics and customer service.
