HE Obaid Humaid Al Tayer, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, received a French Parliamentary delegation headed by HE Philippe Marini, French Senator, and in the presence of HE Alain Azouaou, French Ambassador to the UAE, at MoF’s headquarters in Dubai on Thursday, April 05, 2012.

The visit shed light on bilateral relations between France and the UAE, and discussed methods of strengthening mutual financial and economic bonds to achieve respective interests. The visit also highlighted the financial situation in the euro area.

Moreover, HE Al Tayer and the French delegation discussed the UAE’s leading role in the region and across the world. HE praised relations between the UAE and France, which are based on cooperation and exchange of interests in the commercial, industrial and financial fields.

HE stated that France is one of the most important trading partners of the UAE, where a large number of French companies operate in the industrial, hospitality, tourism and finance sectors in the country. Furthermore, the UAE is considered to be the first host country of a French community in the Gulf Region.
