Leading PR industry influencer The Holmes Report today named Hill+Knowlton Strategies as the Middle East Public Relations Consultancy of the Year.

Hill+Knowlton Strategies, whose first office in the region was founded in Bahrain in 1985, has been a significant player and innovator in the Middle East PR industry for many years and is the longest established international PR consultancy in the region.

With eight offices across the Middle East and several affiliate partners, the firm serves a wide client base across multiple industries as well as both major blue chip Arab domestic clients and foreign multinational companies.

In 2011 Hill+Knowlton weathered the political upheaval in in the region as well as the on-going challenging economic environment, seeing strong growth in several markets as well as continuing to export major business from the Middle East to the company's global network.

Active in the Turkish market for some time, the acquisition of leading Turkish PR firm Global Tanitim gave the firm an additional presence in this fast-growing market during 2011. Focused on providing top talent to clients, Hill+Knowlton also expanded its digital capabilities, bringing in Rishi Saha as Regional Director, who joined from UK Prime Minister David Cameron's office, where he was head of digital communications for the UK Government.

Dave Robinson, President & CEO of Hill+Knowlton Strategies Australia, Middle East, Africa, South and Central Asia (AMEASCA) commented: "We are thrilled to receive this recognition from such a prestigious and influential industry commentator as the Holmes Report. With 27 years in the region we have worked hard to build our business, our reputation and our client base, and this award pays tribute to the enormous effort and commitment of all of our people in the region who commit so much to this firm and its clients every day."
