HMC’s Social Services Department Organizes Iftar Events at Hamad General Hospital
In collaboration with Qatar Red Crescent Society, Hamad Medical Corporation’s (HMC) Social Services Department organized Iftar events on 24 and 31 May for patients and workers at Hamad General Hospital.
Ms. Hayfa Al Hajri, Acting Executive Director of HMC's Department of Social Services, said volunteers from the Qatar Red Crescent Society visited Hamad General Hospital on Thursday, 24 May and distributed 150 Iftar meals to hospital workers who were on duty during that time. The Qatar Red Crescent team visited the hospital again on 31 May, joined by a delegation from Deutsche Bank, and distributed an additional 150 Iftar meals to inpatients on the Orthopedics, Trauma, and Surgery Wards, as well as to the attending nursing teams.
“HMC, through cooperation with its key partners, is doing its utmost to serve the local community by supporting laborers and other employees and extending help to those in our community who are less fortunate. We wanted to bring the joy and spirit of Ramadan to our employees, and at the same time foster a culture of sharing among staff,” said Ms. Al Hajri.
