HMC Welcomes International Consultants Visiting in May and June

Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) will welcome a number of visiting consultants from various medical specialties during the months of May and June.

The visiting consultants are as follows:  

• Dr. Gemah Moammer, an orthopedic surgeon from Ontario, Canada, will visit from 29 April to 4 May, conducting clinics and surgeries. Patients wishing to make an appointment should call the Bone and Joint Center at 4041 1140 or 4041 1141.
• Dr. Nikhil Shah, Chief of Minimally Invasive and Robotic Surgery at Piedmont Healthcare in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, will visit from 6 to 12 May, conducting patient consultations and surgeries.
• Dr. Fred Muhletaler, a fellowship-trained Robotic Urologist and Oncologist and Director of Robotic Urologic Surgery at Palms West Hospital in Loxahatchee, Florida, USA, will visit from 6 to 12 May, conducting patient consultations and surgeries.

Other experts are scheduled to visit throughout the year as part of HMC’s focus on hosting highly-respected physicians and surgeons from around the world. Hosting visiting international consultants who are experts in their field is in line with HMC’s commitment to providing specialized medical services to the people of Qatar.

Members of the public wishing to book an appointment with one of the visiting consultants are advised to discuss this option with their physician. If your doctor agrees that an appointment with a visiting consultant is appropriate, they will provide a referral.

Additionally, as of1 May, evening clinic timings at the Bone and Joint Center’s Orthopedic Outpatient Department will be 3pm to 7pm. The clinic previously operated from 5pm to 9pm.
