Honor Doubles Its Market Share in 2017 in Saudi Arabia
Honor, the leading smartphone e-brand under the Huawei Group announced its market share growth in KSA for the first time since it disrupted the market in 2015.
The brand has been introducing killer value smartphones and cutting-edge technology to the local markets which resulted in it witnessing unprecedented growth in the region with constant demand for its both flagship and X series.
Despite being a stable year for most smartphone vendors, Honor has continued to experience growth and doubling its market share in KSA specifically. Honor has seen significantly high market share specifically in both $150 - $200 price range as well as the $150 - $250 price category.
Chris Sun Baigong, VP of honor in MEA region, said “We are proud to be able to deliver unique innovative smartphones in a much cluttered market where we are able to create new standards for the industry to follow. We are penetrating through a new market need where we are able to fulfil needs millennials didn’t know existed. We’ve built through incredible brand equity across the world from being number 1 in China, India, Russia and even Finland. Now we are breaking new grounds in the Middle East. We are also proud to announce we are going to introduce this month the Honor 9 lite. After the incredible success it received around the world, we are so excited to be able to bring it to the Middle East where we will focus on design, camera quality and innovation. Watch the space as we will be announcing it soon”.
