Aimed at boosting office and employee productivity across organizations in the Middle East, Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, has recently unveiled its latest next-generation full-HD video phone, the eSpace 8950 with plans to offer the flagship device for Middle East enterprises.

According to Huawei, full-touch screen technology is captivating businesses across the world as growing popularity of intelligent office video phones have fostered user habits in using new communication methods.

The eSpace 8950 delivers an optimal experience, making enterprise communication more pleasant and efficient with full touch operations. The video phone provides a consistent user experience across computers, smart phones and tablets with its context awareness technology ensuring that users can use Bluetooth to switch between desktop phone terminal and mobile device without dropping off the call. The use of technologies such as Unified Communications and Machine-to-Machine solutions were expected to gain prominence in the regional IT industry according to latest forecasts from market intelligence firm IDC, which highlighted that ICT spending in the Middle East IT is expected to exceed $32 billion in the coming year.

The pioneering eSpace 8950 phone has a 6mm ultra-thin body while the multi-touch design subverts the traditional push-button design. The base is angle-adjustable to focus sight naturally; the high-quality aluminum alloy showcases superb material quality. A highly sensitive, In-Plane Switching (IPS) touchscreen offers a super-wide viewing angle to capture more image details. The video phone also provides a consistent user experience across computers, mobile phones, and tablets. The flattened UI enables users to perform frequent operations within three steps. Full-touch video conferences deliver an optimal video experience and simplified conference control. 

With the hands-free function, and while using Bluetooth, the voice is automatically switched to the user's mobile phone is the user wishes to leave the office zone. The user can also continue voice communication using the Bluetooth headset without switching to the headset of the mobile phone.

Full HD: high voice and video quality

eSpace 8950 is designed with two high-fidelity audio speakers that accurately reproduce sound. The video phone is equipped with a full-HD 1080p camera for a truly immersive experience.

As a high-end video phone, eSpace 8950 also provides a High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) to project the content from the video phone to a large screen, quickly changing an office to a small video conference room.

Users can also manage video phones in batches through Huawei's enterprise network management system eSight. The visualized and web-based management UIs remarkably simplify phone management.
