Hyundai Motor Middle East & Africa Welcomes Secretary-General of AfCFTA for Landmark Visit in Dubai

Hyundai Motor Middle East & Africa (HMMEA) was honored to welcome H.E. Wamkele Mene, Secretary-General of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), for a highlevel courtesy visit to its Regional Headquarters in Dubai on January 26.

During the visit, H.E. Mene met with Mr. Tarek Mosaad, President & CEO of Hyundai Motor Middle East & Africa, to discuss the dynamic developments shaping trade and industrial cooperation across the African continent.

A key focus of the exchange centered on the recent progress within the AfCFTA Rules of Origin framework, particularly those impacting the automotive sector. These advancements represent an important step toward enhancing intraAfrican trade, supporting industrialization, and enabling manufacturers to better align with emerging continental standards.
