Jazeera Airways today announced the completion of a series of expansions and upgrades at its Terminal 5 at Kuwait International Airport

Following the record number of passengers of 1.1 million flown during the summer period from July to August, Jazeera Airways today announced the completion of a series of expansions and upgrades at its Terminal 5 at Kuwait International Airport, to improve the travel experience and prepare to welcome more passengers in the coming year. These upgrades also include complete separation of Arriving and Departing passengers, which increases security as well as operational efficiency.

The Jazeera Terminal 5 (T5) is now expanded to include additional boarding gates and aero-bridges, a larger transit hall fully facilitated to serve connecting passengers, an enhanced Duty Free shop, as well as more retail and food and beverage outlets. Importantly, there will now be only one security check, with no additional screening at the boarding gates. In addition, there is a dedicated customer service team at T5 available around the clock to assist passengers, and a newly built customer service centre at Jazeera’s head office near the airport.

Speaking on the significance of these upgrades Rohit Ramachandran, CEO Jazeera Airways said: “We witnessed a tremendous demand for travel during the summer after two years of restrictions due to the pandemic, which delayed previously planned expansions at T5. Now that the expansion program has been completed our passengers can really benefit from the convenience of flying from T5. Travelers can get from check-in to their gate in less than 10 minutes.”
