Jazeera Airways Joins Amadeus GDS Ecosystem
Serving more than 2.2 million passengers a year and flying to 26 destinations, Jazeera Airways strives to be the seamless connection between its customers and their sources of inspiration. By adopting Amadeus’ Global Distribution Services (GDS) solutions, the airline will be well-positioned to provide the best value to customers and agents who book through the Amadeus system, while enjoying streamlined processes throughout several aspects of its operations. This partnership adds to the airline’s agreement with Navitaire, an Amadeus company, to use its customer-centric reservation platform to help drive higher revenues.
Rohit Ramachandran, CEO Jazeera Airways, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with Amadeus, who connect us to significant distribution in our key markets, such as Saudi Arabia and India. We believe that this will create additional value for both companies.”
Maher Koubaa, VP Airlines Middle East, Turkey and Africa, Amadeus, said: “We are pleased to announce our new partnership with Jazeera Airways, welcoming one of the largest low-cost carriers into our customer portfolio. Amadeus has built relationships with numerous world-leading airlines, enabling them to deliver greater value and smoother processes from ticketing through to scheduling.”
Established in April 2004, Jazeera Airways is the first non-government owned airline in the Middle East, continuing to be one of the few Middle East-based private airlines to this day.
Jazeera Airways currently flies to 28 destinations operating a reliable fleet of Airbus A320 aircraft – all fitted with our signature leather seats and two-class cabins. In June 2018 Jazeera was the first airline in the Middle East to introduce the A320neo into its fleet.
