Jazeera Airways Relaunches Dhaka Flights Restoring Connectivity to Bangladesh
Jazeera Airways today announced the relaunch of three weekly flights to Dhaka, restoring connectivity between Kuwait and Bangladesh and marking the first active air link between the two countries during the current period of disruption.
With this relaunch, Jazeera Airways becomes the only airline currently operating between Kuwait and Bangladesh, reinforcing its role in maintaining essential connectivity when it matters most.
The reinstatement of Dhaka strengthens Jazeera Airways’ commitment to serving Kuwait’s diverse communities, particularly the Bangladeshi community, one of the largest expatriate populations in the country. The route provides a vital link for passengers traveling to reunite with families, return to work, or undertake urgent journeys.
His Excellency Major General Syed Tareq Hussain, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Kuwait, said: “We sincerely appreciate Jazeera Airways for relaunching flights between Kuwait and Dhaka during this challenging period. This initiative provides vital support to the Bangladeshi community in Kuwait, enabling many to reunite with their families, return home, or travel for essential needs. We also commend the cooperation between the authorities in Kuwait and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in facilitating this important connectivity, which reflects a shared commitment to supporting people and maintaining strong bilateral ties.”
Operated via King Fahad International Airport in Dammam one of the airline’s dual-base operations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the service ensures continued accessibility between Kuwait and Bangladesh despite ongoing operational constraints, while also supporting the movement of cargo into Kuwait.
Dhaka is a key economic and commercial hub in South Asia, and the relaunch of this route will further facilitate the flow of essential goods into the Kuwaiti market. By enabling reliable cargo movement alongside passenger services, Jazeera Airways continues to support the resilience of supply chains at a time when they are under pressure.
Barathan Pasupathi, Chief Executive Officer of Jazeera Airways, said: “The relaunch of Dhaka marks an important step in restoring connectivity to Bangladesh and supporting a key community in Kuwait. As the only airline currently operating between Kuwait and Dhaka, we are enabling a critical link at a time when travel remains challenging. Beyond passenger travel, this route also supports the movement of essential goods, reinforcing our role in keeping Kuwait connected and supplied. We remain focused on ensuring continuity, reliability, and accessibility across our network, and we are grateful for the support of authorities in Kuwait and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in enabling these operations.”
Through its dual bases in Dammam and Qaisumah, Jazeera Airways has implemented an integrated travel model combining air and overland transport, enabling sustained connectivity and operational flexibility during a period of disruption.
Jazeera Airways currently offers over 31 destinations, more than 1,000 flights, and 200,000 seats through the end of April, while also facilitating cargo flows to support Kuwait’s supply chain needs.
Flights are open for booking on Jazeeraairways.com and the Jazeera Airways mobile app.
