Kempinski Hotel Muscat Awarded for Hotel Interior Design in West Africa and Asia by Prix Versailles
Kempinski Hotel Muscat received the award for ‘Hotel Interiors in Africa and West Asia’ during the 2019 Prix Versailles World Ceremony held at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, France. Prix Versailles recognizes the most remarkable structures in the World for architecture and design, in association with UNESCO and the International Union of Architects (UIA).
Upon winning the award, Carsten Wiegandt, General Manager of Kempinski Hotel Muscat said, “It is an honour to be recognised among the most prominent architectural marvels in the World for the design of our interior which is a depiction of traditional Omani architecture. A modern design interpretation of Muscat, one of the distinctly Omani elements is our lobby, which is inspired by the Al Alam Palace, His Majesty’s ceremonial palace.”
