Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor Welcomes a Delegation from the American University in Cairo
Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor, Founding Chairman, Al Habtoor Group welcomed a delegation from the American University in Cairo (AUC). The delegation, led by AUC President, Francis J. Ricciadone, included Dina Abulfotuh, Vice President for Advancement and Communications and Dina El Gazzar, Director of Development.
Ricciadone, updated the Chairman on the progress of students who are part of a scholarship programme funded by Al Habtoor. He showed a video from one of the scholarship students thanking Al Habtoor for his support. The Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor Scholarship was launched in 2015 to provide 10 Egyptian students the opportunity to study at AUC.
Al Habtoor said, “I am delighted to see that the scholarship is a resounding success. It is great to see how students are benefiting from the scholarship. I look forward to seeing how they further progress. Getting a degree from such a respected university is a privilege. It will provide the students with a wonderful opportunity to secure their future.”
The AUC President praised the university’s exceptional sports facilities, including the Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor Football & Track Stadium, funded by Al Habtoor. The Olympic-standard facility boasts a full-size football pitch and a 400 metre, 10 lane track.
Ricciadone also updated Al Habtoor on the university’s plans to expand its presence in the Egyptian capital to better interact with the local community.
