Khalifa University shares knowledge with BCS the Chartered Institute for IT

Khalifa University announced today that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with BCS The Chartered Institute for IT (BCS).
The MOU will see Khalifa University students and faculty received BCS membership and share developments in Information Technology and Computing.
The MOU signing was attended by officials from both Khalifa University and BCS.
"The relationship between Khalifa University and BCS will be a good mechanism for our faculty and students to develop lasting professional relationships, and an effective way for them to stay abreast of the highest quality work in the field." Said Dr. Tod Laursen, Khalifa University President.

Adel Salem Alkaff, Chairman, The Chartered Institute for IT (BCS Middle East Section) stated: “We are honored to be signing the MoU with Khalifa University and trust this partnership will facilitate developing UAE IT local students professional talent and future leaders to prepare them for the Knowledge Economy. We wish to thank HE Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan Minister of Higher Education & Scientific Research for his kind patronage and support.”
BCS is a leading professional body for those working in IT, with a worldwide membership of over 65,000 members in 100 countries. The BCS objectives are to promote the study and application of communications technology and computing technology and to advance knowledge of education in ICT for the benefit of professional practitioners and the general public. It was founded in 1957 as the British Computer Society and is the only professional body in the United Kingdom with the ability to grant chartered status to IT professionals.
Khalifa University has signed several memorandums in the past with professional bodies as part of its endeavor to serve the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, UAE society, the region and the world by providing its students with ample opportunities for professional growth.
