Khalil Laabidi Appointed President of Tunisian Investment Authority
The Ministry of Development, Investment and International Co-operation announced in a statement Tuesday the appointment of Khalil Laabidi as president of the Tunisian Investment Authority.
Laabidi was Director General of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency (FIPA-Tunisia) before this appointment.
Aged 47, Laabidi graduated from the “Ecole Nationale des Impôts de France” (ENI, France) in 1996 and the “Ecole Nationale d'Administration” (ENA, Tunis) in 1997.
He is a tax professor at the University Paris Dauphine in Tunis.
Laabidi is Chairman of the ANIMA Investment Network and Chairman of the Board of Directors of two Tunisian companies in the media sector.
He has a World Bank training certificate on the "Global Solution for Integrated Trade WITS" and a certificate of "Islamic Banker" from CIBAFI, the General Council for Islamic Banks and Financial Institutions.
During his professional career, Laabidi held several positions within the Tunisian Administration.
He held the position of Public Services Advisor at the Ministry of Finance in 1997, Director at the Tax Studies and Taxes Directorate, and adviser to the Minister of Finance in 2013.
