KIB concludes sponsorship of GCC Forum on the Quality of Life for the Elderly for International Day of Older Persons

Kuwait International Bank (KIB) concluded its sponsorship of the GCC Forum on the Quality of Life for the Elderly, organized by the Ministry of Social Affairs, in conjunction with the International Day of Older Persons, in Al Baraka Hall, Crowne Plaza at Farwaniya.

The forum was held under the patronage and in the presence of the Minister of Social Affairs and Family and Childhood Affairs, Dr. Amthal Hadi Al-Huwaila. Represented by the Bank’s Marketing and Corporate Communications Manager, Marwa Marafie, KIB was honored in recognition of its pioneering role in improving the quality of life for the elderly and its ongoing efforts in supporting care home activities and initiatives, as part of its comprehensive social responsibility program and in line with its corporate slogan, ‘Bank for Life.’

Alongside Minister Al-Huwaila, the Bank took part in distributing commemorative and in-kind gifts to the elderly, in an initiative that embodies appreciation and gratitude for their contributions, while reflecting the Bank’s commitment to bringing joy to their hearts and enhancing their quality of life as one of the key pillars of Kuwaiti society.

Expressing her gratitude for the Bank’s honoring, Marafie said: “We are proud to participate in a forum that celebrates our elders and reflects a culture of loyalty and gratitude for their role in building and advancing society. Our sponsorship and care for the elderly stem from a steadfast commitment and sustainable social programs that we continue year after year, aiming to extend our initiatives to all segments of society and contribute to a better life for all citizens. KIB also reinforces its ties with civil and humanitarian institutions in Kuwait through a wide range of community programs, ensuring it always remains close to its community and firmly committed to its mission to keeping people at the heart of its priorities.”

This participation reflects KIB’s longstanding commitment to supporting the elderly. Over the years, the Bank has launched numerous humanitarian initiatives, including regular visits to care homes where employees connect with residents, share conversations and memories, present symbolic gifts, and join in national and religious celebrations, especially during the holy month of Ramadan, to bring joy and foster a sense of family unity. KIB also works to instill a culture of volunteerism among its employees by encouraging them to take part in community events, underscoring its dedication to the values of giving and solidarity, and reaffirming its role as a financial institution with a strong humanitarian and social mission.
