KIB supports Hajj pilgrims at Kuwait International Airport’s T4 Terminal
Kuwait International Bank (KIB) announced its cooperation with the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs on an initiative to serve Hajj pilgrims departing through Kuwait International Airport’s Terminal 4 (T4). This comes as part of the Bank’s efforts to contribute to community and humanitarian initiatives, in line with its main slogan, “Bank for Life.”
This initiative coincides with the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs’ allocation of a fully integrated booth at Kuwait International Airport to serve pilgrims throughout the Hajj season. The booth provides guidance and assistance, while also facilitating travel procedures for pilgrims. As part of the initiative, KIB contributed by presenting and distributing gifts, as well as providing essential items to support pilgrims during their journey and ensure greater comfort before departure.
Commenting on the initiative, Shaikhah Albahdahi, Marketing & Corporate Communication at KIB said: “At KIB, we are committed to participating in initiatives that directly serve the community, particularly during religious and national occasions that call for collaboration among various entities. Our participation in serving Hajj pilgrims stems from our social responsibility and reflects our keenness to help provide pilgrims with a more comfortable and seamless experience from the very start of their Hajj journey.”
She added: “Our cooperation with the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs represents a model of public-private sector collaboration in humanitarian initiatives. This cooperation underscores KIB’s commitment to supporting the efforts of the State of Kuwait and its various institutions in serving the community. It also reflects the Bank’s steadfast commitment to maintaining an active presence during such holy occasions.”
KIB commended the efforts of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and all relevant entities involved in organizing the Hajj season and providing the necessary facilities for pilgrims. The Bank also praised the strong coordination and services provided at Kuwait International Airport to facilitate travel procedures and ensure a comfortable, seamless experience for pilgrims from the moment they depart the country.
KIB reaffirmed its continued support for community initiatives as part of its social responsibility strategy, through cooperation with various official and civil society entities and contributions to programs and activities that serve Kuwaiti society across multiple fields.
It is worth noting that this initiative falls under KIB’s social responsibility program, which includes a range of activities and initiatives across education, health, humanitarian work, and community development. This comes as part of the Bank’s commitment to supporting initiatives that address the needs of the community and serve its various segments.
