Land Rover MENA supports this year’s sentebale Polo Cup as Official Automotive Partner
Leading luxury automotive manufacturer Land Rover MENA sponsored the fifth edition of the Sentebale Polo Cup that took place on Thursday, 20th November at the Abu Dhabi Ghantoot Racing & Polo Club.
Supported by Prince Harry, the event takes place every year to raise money and awareness of Sentebale’s work in providing healthcare and education to vulnerable children in Lesotho in Southern Africa, many whom are victims of extreme poverty and Lesotho’s HIV/AIDs epidemic.
As the official automotive partner of the event, two of Land Rover’s flagship vehicles, the Land Rover LR4 and the Range Rover, led the team parade onto the pitch before the match commenced between the Sentebale Huntsman team and the Figueras’s St Regis team.
Attended by VIPs from across the region, the event raised hundreds and thousands of Sterling Pounds as well as awareness to help support Sentebale’s expansion plans in providing leading emotional and psychological support to many more children in Lesotho, hoping to make a marked improvement in these young people’s quality of life.
Speaking at the event, Prince Harry commented: “On behalf of all of us at Sentebale, I¹d like to thank you all for coming here today to support our work with vulnerable children in Lesotho. In particular, I¹d like to thank His Highness Sheikh Falah Bin Sultan Al Nahyan for allowing us to use the stunning grounds of Ghantoot Racing & Polo Club and all of our sponsors, without whom, this event would not be possible.”
