EventVibe: On the occasion of Libya's celebration of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Arab Union for Youth Hostels, a grand celebration was held in the city of Al-Khums at 5 June, under the auspices of the Libyan Youth Hostels Association of the Ministry of Youth, as part of the events of Tripoli, the Capital of Arab Youth 2024.

The celebration was attended by an elite group of officials and youth leaders from various Arab countries, led by His Excellency Fatah Allah Abdullatif Al-Zunni, the Minister of Youth, who delivered a speech emphasizing the ministry's efforts to support Libyan and Arab youth and enhance cooperation among them, under the auspices of His Excellency Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, the Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity. The event was also attended by representatives from the Arab Union for Youth Hostels, where the Union's journey over half a century was showcased, highlighting its achievements in promoting cooperation and cultural exchange among Arab youth.

Mr. Al-Shaibani Abdullah Al-Shaibani, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Libyan Youth Hostels Association, delivered a speech in which he praised the pioneering role of the Arab Union in embracing youth talents and developing their skills. He stressed that Libya is proud to host this important event and is committed to supporting the energies of its youth in various fields.

During the celebration, documentary videos were shown, shedding light on the achievements of Libyan youth hostels and their spread across the country, even in remote areas. The event also showcased inspiring success stories of young people who benefited from the services and initiatives of these hostels.

At the conclusion of the celebration, pioneers of youth work and founders of youth hostels in the Arab world were honored, amidst a festive atmosphere that affirmed the depth of fraternal ties between Arab youth and the importance of concerted efforts to empower and support them in achieving their aspirations for a better future.
