During this period, guests may dedicate as little as AED 5 to the hotel, with 100% of the proceeds going towards the funding of the foundation’s research programme. Launched together with its core group Millennium Hotels and Resorts, the year-long campaign seeks to raise funds for further medical research on proven treatments for mental health illnesses such as addiction, ADHD, anxiety, autism, depression, eating disorders, bipolar disorder, OCD PTSD, schizophrenia and many more.

Commenting on the announcement, Cornelia Erhardt the hotel’s General Manager said, “Mental health covers the emotional, psychological and social well-being of each person, affecting how we think, feel and act. Research suggests that more than 4% of the UAE’s population suffers from a form of mental illnesses, with more than 15% of those affected suffering from cases of mild depression.”

“The Taddamon programme represents our commitment towards upholding our responsibility towards the community and the country. We are deeply delighted to support Al Jalila Foundation in its vital work in the medical industry, particularly in its mental health research. We hope that through this, we may be able to transform lives by raising awareness on the issue of mental health and to give a voice to people suffering from mental illnesses,” she added.
