MAD Solutions Takes Part in the Film Distribution Strategies Panel Discussion at the Mediterranean Short Film Festival of Tangier

MAD Solutions will take part in a panel discussion titled "Film Distribution Strategies" held as part of the 17th Mediterranean Short Film Festival of Tangier (September 30 - October 5), where Moshira Farouk, Director of Film Distribution at MAD Solutions, will represent the company. Besides, the Lebanese short film Before We Heal, which is distributed by MAD Solutions, will screen in the festival's Official Competition.

The Film Distribution Strategies panel discussion will take place on Saturday, October 5 at 11:00 AM at Chellah Hotel in Tangier. Moderated by film critic Rachid Naim, the discussion will bring together Txema Muñoz,Director and Coordinator of the Kimuak Programme, Stravoula Geronimaki, responsible for the promotion of Greek short films, and Alessandro Giorgio, General Secretary of the Torino Short Film Market, Italy.

The panel will discuss the challenges facing short films in terms of promotion and distribution, especially that movie theaters don't pay the needed attention to short films and many consider them just a transitional stage in a filmmaker's career to make their debut feature film, and that is not true. Short films are exceptionally aesthetic, especially in terms of being strongly poetic, skillfully condensed and using symbolism. Short films are now celebrated at the world's most prestigious film festivals for playing an important role in the film industry and delivering meaningful messages in a short time.

With the attendance of its director Nadim Hobeika, Before We Heal will screen on Wednesday, October 2 at 06:00 PM at Cinema Roxy in Tangier. Saleem and Raya meet at Raya's place. Saleem enters the toilet and somehow gets stuck. Between the inside and the outside, trials and disappointments, laughter and hope, memories and screams, are all being shared at the doorstep.

Written and directed by Nadim Hobeika, Before We Heal stars Yumna Marwan, Mohammad Bsat and Elie Njeim. The film's crew includes Cinematographer Céline Layous, Editor Nathalie Rbeiz, and Music Composer Jean Nassif. Before We Heal isdistributed in the Arab world by MAD Solutions.

Before We Heal won the First Prize at the Gabes Cinema Fen and a Special Mention for Best Female Performance at the Beirut Women International Film Festival (BWFF). The film took part in the Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF), Carthage Film Festival (JCC),and screened in its homeland Lebanon at the Lebanese Film Festival (LFF). The film world premiered at the Aegean Film Festival in Greece and screened at the Arab Film Festival (AFF) in California, USA.
