Majid Al Futtaim’s malls in Dubai create happy moments and everyone is a winner!
Following the success of last year’s SMILE campaign and in line with the government’s mission to achieve a happier society, Majid Al Futtaim’s lifestyle destinations in Dubai, Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Deira and City Centre Mirdif are hosting special winning opportunities and first time experiences to spread the national feeling of happiness and put a SMILE on every shopper’s face!
This year’s edition of the SMILE campaign is bigger than ever and includes Mall Gift Cards, instant prizes, surprise gifts and the return of the much-loved family board game, Monopoly. From April 23 – May 22, Majid Al Futtaim is introducing a new experience that compliments the company’s recently launched regional marketing campaign designed to inspire people to spend more quality time with loved ones. Independent research commissioned by Majid Al Futtaim that sparked the ‘Create Great Moments Together’ campaign, revealed that the vast majority of people in the region (92%) are happiest when spending quality time with friends and family. Inspired by this research ’30 Days of Happy Moments Together’ will surprise one lucky visitor every day with a gift that can be shared with a friend, family or loved one.
Until May 8, SMILE will reward shoppers with Mall Gift Cards and prizes when spending in any of the stores in Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Deira and City Centre Mirdif. Participants are invited to redeem the Gift Cards at the malls ‘Smile Booth’where they will have the chance to win gift cards and instant prizes corresponding to the voucher amount. At Mall of the Emirates shoppers who spend AED1,000 – AED2,000 will receive AED150 in Mall Gift Cards or instant prizes and upon spending AED 2,001 and above shoppers will receive a Mall Gift Card worth AED 200 or instant prizes daily. Upon spending AED 750 – AED1,500 at City Centre Mirdif shoppers will receive AED100, while spending AED1,501 or above shoppers will receive AED150 or an instant prize. At City Centre Deira, shoppers will receive double the value of Gift Card for a whole month in which if they spend AED 750 – AED 1,500 they will receive AED200, and upon spending AED1,501 or above they will receive AED300.
Adding to the fun, Mall of the Emirates and City Centres Deira and Mirdif are bringing back the giant award-winning game Monopoly. From May 9 – 22, shoppers will have the opportunity to play the much-loved board game designed exclusively for Majid Al Futtaim. This year the game features new elements that are inspired by the SMILE campaign such as the ‘Smile Cam’ square that projects the players face onto a big screen and the ‘Make a Smile’ square asks participants to spread happiness and make others smile. Mr. Monopoly is back but with a few tricks and surprises up his sleeve! Shoppers can play Monopoly at Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Deira and City Centre Mirdif on weekdays from 12pm – 10pm and on weekends from 12pm – 11:30pm.
