Markaz records Total Revenue of KD 8.02 million for H1-2026

Kuwait Financial Centre “Markaz” (KSE: Markaz, Reuters: MARKZ.KW, Bloomberg: MARKAZ: KK) reported its financial results for H1-2026 with a Total Revenue of KD 8.02 million, as compared to KD 14.45 million in H1-2025. Q2 2026 made a strong recovery, fully compensating for the impact experienced in Q1 2026. Total revenue in Q2 2026 reached KD 10.68 million, compared to a negative revenue of KD 2.67 million in Q1 2026, resulting in a net profit of KD 6.79 million for Q2 2026, compared to a net loss of KD 6.76 million in Q1 2026 enabling the company to return to profitability and close H1 of the year with a net profit of KD 0.03 million (EPS: 0.07 fils).

During H1-2026, market sentiment continued to be influenced by geopolitical developments across the region, resulting in heightened volatility across financial markets, especially in the GCC. Despite these challenges, Kuwait All Share Index remaining broadly stable. It is remarkable how well the GCC market withstood the geopolitical uncertainty, reflecting the preceding reforms and sound fiscal policies of all GCC countries. In addition, yields on sovereign GCC bonds were favorable, reflecting the world’s faith in the region’s resilience and optimism about its future prospects.

In Investment Banking, Markaz continued developing a pipeline of selective high-profile transactions, including providing valuation and financing advice to both corporates and high net worth family offices. The real estate portfolios in Kuwait and abroad continued to deliver stable occupancy levels, rental yields and collection ratios. The company is pursuing selective investment opportunities in private credit, private infrastructure and development financing. Assets Under Management (AUM) was KD 1.57 billion as of 30 June 2026, compared to KD 1.56 billion in the same period previous year. During the quarter, Markaz introduced 24-hour U.S. market access through its digital investment platform, iMarkaz Invest, enabling clients to monitor and trade eligible U.S. equities and ETFs beyond traditional market hours. This enhancement provides investors with greater flexibility to respond across time zones to economic news flows, geopolitical developments, and other market moving events as they unfold.
