Mashreq appoints new Head of Mashreq Gold

Mashreq, one of the UAE’s leading financial institutions announced the appointment of Pamir Karagoz as the new Head of Mashreq Gold. Pamir has over 14 years experience in the banking and financial sector, and has held various senior positions with international banks.
In her new role, Karagoz will be responsible for the day-to-day business and implementation of the overall positioning and growth of Mashreq Gold.
Prior to joining Mashreq, Karagoz was the Head of Premier Banking & Investments, Emerging Markets in Barclays, and also held various managerial positions, such as was Head of Wealth Management and Chief Planning Officer at Citibank.
Commenting on her appointment, Karagoz said, “I am excited to join an organization, known for its successful track record in the region and look forward to working hand in hand with the various teams, contributing to the ambitions of the bank. The premier banking service in the market is poised to tap its full potential and we plan to enhance our offerings and presence to accommodate customers.”
Karagoz holds Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Middle East Technical University and Masters of Business Administration from University of Chicago.
