Mercedes-Benz voted top stand by visitors to Dubai International Motor Show

According to a recent report by leading research consultancy, ARA Research and Consultancy, visitors to the 2011 Dubai International Motor Show voted the Mercedes-Benz’ stand as being their favourite. The world’s oldest automotive manufacturer also came second on a list of most desired brands at the region’s leading motor show and third overall in recording a positive change in brand perception purely based on motor show presence.
Visitors to the stand were met with a stunning line up from Mercedes-Benz and from its AMG Performance division. It was also an opportunity to lay eyes on three new cars making their regional debuts. Within the SUV area, the new M-Class took pride of place in the corner of the stand, exhibiting its powerful and sophisticated character. Over in the AMG section, the new SLK 55 AMG, the most powerful SLK ever built, lined up alongside the new SLS AMG Roadster, the convertible version of the jaw-dropping SLS AMG Coupe that has wowed car fans ever since it made its own regional debut at the Dubai International Motor Show in 2009.
Mercedes-Benz’ Guard division, specialising in armoured vehicles gave an insight into personal automobile protection with S 600 Guard and Pullman Guard limousines, while luxury executive transport was also on display in the form of the Viano Vision Pearl Concept. Mercedes-Benz also celebrated its 125th anniversary, by bringing the very first automobile, the Patentwagen built by Karl Benz back in 1886, displaying it for the first time.
"We have always taken great pride in our stand at the Dubai International Motor Show, as we want to give our customers the opportunity to see and feel the fantastic products Mercedes-Benz offers. This year was extra special as we are celebrating our 125th anniversary and by showcasing the Patentwagen as well as our latest models, we were proud to display just how far Mercedes-Benz has come in the past 125 years”, said Frank Bernthaler, Director, Sales & Marketing, Mercedes-Benz Cars, Daimler Middle East & Levant.
In addition to the cars on show, Mercedes-Benz also broke records in terms of the number of accessories sold, highlighting how much visitors wanted to take a momento of their visit to the Mercedes-Benz stand home with them.
