Microfund for Women (MFW) has recently celebrated Mother’s Day, by honoring 2,500 mothers, who have benefited from MFW’s services, in all its sixty branches located across the Kingdom. The celebration saw the distribution of gifts to mothers, namely handicrafts made by other beneficiaries, thereby reflecting MFW’s keenness to promote and support its beneficiaries in various events.

As part of the festivities, MFW organized a variety of activities, including talks on social security, which focused on the importance of voluntary participation of homemakers and home-based business’ owners in the social security scheme for their future protection and security. Awareness lectures were also held on various subjects, such as cancer, specifically breast cancer, as well as the importance of family planning.

Furthermore, MFW organized a number of events, including a free medical day in the Zarqa Governorate, the ‘Children Education Program’ in Deir Alla and Al-Baqa'a as well as the ‘Fingerprint for Success’ bazaar held in the King Abdullah II Gardens, in the Irbid Governorate. Beneficiaries were also able to participate in the two bazaars held recently at the Bristol Amman Hotel and Al-Isra University.

On this occasion, Managing Director of MFW, Muna Sukhtian stated, “Women are at the core of the community. Our role is to empower and support them, in order to help them them achieve their dreams and their ambitions. This support is not limited to financial support, but includes the non-financial services that MFW provides to its beneficiaries. We are delighted to celebrate such occasions with our beneficiaries, especially Mother’s Day, as mothers are our source of inspiration and the reason of our existence, and we continuously seek to develop our operations to serve them more efficiently and effectively.”

Sukhtian also added, “On the occasion of Mother's Day, I extend my heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all mothers for their great role in providing a better life for their families, and for proving the role they play as productive, influential and interactive members in both their homes and society. Therefore, we all should honor our mothers and praise their efforts, in order to further motivate them to always do their best.”
