Middle East Payment Services Sponsors ‘Ahlan Ramadan’ Bazar
Middle East Payment Services(MEPS)– a leading, innovative payment services provider in the Middle East – has sponsored the annual ‘Ahlan Ramadan’ bazaar organized by Hands Events to celebrate the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan. The bazaar was hosted recently under the patronage of HRH Princess Dina Mired at the Four Seasons Hotel Amman.
The bazaar, which included exhibitors from Egypt, Iraq and Lebanon, displayed a variety of different products such as Ramadan decorations and accessories, handicrafts, traditional embroidered kaftans and garments, as well as an assortment of foods, Ramadan treats and much more, all crafted by the exceptionally talented hands of aspiring female entrepreneurs.
As part of its sponsorship, MEPS was the event’s exclusive payment service provider and as such, allocated point-of-sale (POS) devices at the venue. The devices enabled attendees to electronically purchase the exhibited goods safely and effortlessly.
“This collaboration emphasizes our interest in enabling and encouraging women to work. The ‘Ahlan Ramadan’ bazaar offers many women the opportunity to showcase the fruits of their labor, thus reinforcing their economic participation in society. Moreover, we seek to make payment a much more accessible process in the Kingdom by encouraging people to do so electronically, thereby ensuring the highest degrees of safety, efficiency and flexibility,” said Haitham Said, MEPS Deputy CEO.
