Former Executive Chef Reiner departs the Millennium Resort Mussanah to join Grand Millennium Muscat.

On returning to Adelaide he was credited for mentoring the team at Regatta Bistro to win ‘Modern Australian Cuisine’ for South Australia at the Restaurant and Catering Awards in the year 2007. Chef Fryar has broadened his horizons, working and living outside of Australia mainly in the Gulf region; including Qatar National Convention Centre, Abu Dhabi Golf Club, InterContinental Hotels Group in Abu Dhabi and at the Atlantis The Palm in Dubai.
"We are constantly looking for opportunities to bring our guests the best in the industry and we are confident Chef Fryar will lead our very talented kitchen staff to even greater heights," said Maurice de Rooij, General Manager of the Millennium Resort Mussanah. "He has tremendous experience, an impressive resume and possesses excellent leadership and management skills and we look forward to greater innovation and luxury in menus.”
Chef Matthew Fryar said, "The opportunity to continue my career in a beautiful country such as Oman is very special, I'm looking forward to making a difference and further enhancing Millennium Resort Mussanah’s reputation for culinary delights. For the past few years the resort has been sourcing fresh local produce from eight different farms in the Al Batinah region and I am thrilled to be working with good quality local ingredients. I especially look forward to leading the private a la carte dining in Al Bahar and the pool side Azure restaurant.”
