Ministry of Finance receives delegation from DoF-Ajman

In line with its overall strategy of enhancing its cooperation efforts and the exchange of information and expertise with various federal and local entities in the UAE, the Ministry of Finance (MoF) recently received a delegation from the Department of Finance (DoF) - Ajman. Taking place at its Dubai headquarters, the visit aimed at sharing MoF’s experiences in the process of selecting suitable suppliers and consultants.
Presentations were given by each of MoF’s Policies and Accounting Standards Department, Development Revenue Department and Financial Resources Department highlighting the fact that UAE ministries refer to MoF’s official supplier list when selecting required suppliers. The visit also included a discussion on the standards and procedures applied by MoF when choosing suppliers and consultants which involved a thorough study of the information submitted by consultancy companies and an evaluation of their respective proposals.
In efforts to achieve sustainable growth and development for the UAE, MoF is adamant on hosting visits with various local and federal entities, to enhance cooperation efforts and to share information pertaining to different financial issues and services. These visits and meetings also play an important role in reinforcing government excellence principles which are important to achieve optimum usage of financial resources, and reflect MoF’s efforts in promoting international best practices among government entities.
Visiting members from the DoF- Ajman delegation thanked MoF for its efforts in enhancing cooperation between both parties, and expressed their hopes of continued visits between their entities.
