Farah Bkeerat crowned as Miss Diet Pepsi 2013
PepsiCo-Jordan announced Jordanian contestant Farah Bkeerat as the winner of its Miss Diet Pepsi 2013 competition, which was launched for the second time in Jordanunder the slogan Style is Attitude. The Miss Diet Pepsi 2013 grand finale event took place on Saturday 19th October, 2013, in Beirut, and was attended by journalists and fashion bloggers, as well as the contestants’ families and relatives.
Co-organized by PepsiCo-Jordan and PepsiCo-Lebanon, the Miss Diet Pepsi 2013 competition also witnessed the participation of Lebanese hopefuls who qualified for the finals and competed against their fellow Jordanian contestants for the coveted title.
In addition to receiving the title of Miss Diet Pepsi 2013, Bkeerat won a USD 10,000 shopping spree and round-trip tickets for two to Paris, France. First runner-up, Maya Amro from Lebanon, was awarded USD 2,000, and 2nd runner-up, Rita Moussa from Lebanon, was granted USD 1,000.
The top 10 finalists who competed in the grand finale event were chosen by the public through a Facebook vote based on the style and attitude that was most representative of the Diet Pepsi brand. During the event, finalists were judged by a catwalk appearance and a video showcasing their personalities, in addition to a common question about their attitudes towards life and fashion. The judging panel comprised Christiane Hajjar, Aya Jammal, Cherine Khadra, Roger Moukarzel and PepsiCo-Jordan representative Areej Helou.
“The Miss Diet Pepsi 2013 competition received wide acclaim and engagement from a large number of young, confident and ambitious Jordanian contestants who are taking charge of their lives and seeking success. I would like to congratulate Farah Breekat on winning the title of Miss Diet Pepsi 2013, and I wish her an enjoyable trip to the world’s fashion capital, Paris,” commented PepsiCo-Jordan’s Marketing Manager, Areej Helou.
“Launching this competition corresponds with PepsiCo-Jordan’s goal to engage with local community members, especially youth, and is in line with our efforts to set a positive example of the modern, inspiring, intelligent and stylish young woman,” Helou added.
