Mixed Dimensions hosts second Code-a-Thon to discover Kingdom’s top programmers

Under its efforts to uncover Jordan’s most exceptional programming talents, Mixed Dimensions – a US-Jordanian startup specialized in 3D printing, gaming and augmented and virtual reality – recently hosted its second Hackatari Code-a-Thon competition at the Company’s headquarters in Amman.
During the Hackatari Code-a-Thon, participants were presented with a series of questions and challenged to write programs capable of solving them. Upon the conclusion of the competition, which drew a large number of programmers, programming-enthusiasts, and school and university students from across the Kingdom, the first, second and third place winners – Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT) students Mo’tasem Kayed, Hamzah Zagha and Mohammad Abu Aboud, respectively – were awarded honorary shields and other prizes.
“One of the most important events held under Mixed Dimensions’ innovative lab, Hackatari, the Code-a-Thon was established to provide a competitive platform from which programmers could assess their abilities, identify their weaknesses and work to develop their skills,” said Rawand Madi, Manager of Hackatari at Mixed Dimensions. “This year’s competition was an amazing experience, allowing us to discover the Kingdom’s top programmers and to see their capabilities firsthand.”
