MoF and DoF Dubai sign MoU to enhance partnership

Following its continuous commitment to strengthen cooperation efforts with various local and federal entities in the UAE, the Ministry of Finance (MoF) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Department of Finance (DoF) – Dubai, to further develop their strategic partnership. The agreement was signed by HE Younis Haji Al Khouri, Undersecretary of MoF and HE Abdulrahman Al Saleh, Director General of DoF- Dubai, at the Ministry’s Headquarters in Dubai. 

Commenting on the signing of the MoU, HE Younis Haji Al Khouri, Undersecretary of MoF, stressed on the Ministry’s efforts to further develop and improve their financial services according to the best global practices and standards as well as to strengthen its relations at local, regional and international levels by working on enhancing the means of cooperation and the exchange of experiences with various parties. This initiative supports the projects speciliased in promoting economic development and encouraging investment in the UAE. 

The MoU included several provisions to strengthen strategic partnerships, development of the work environment, axes of joint cooperation in the field of finance such as the exchange of expertise on the development of legislative and regulations applicable in the financial system, budget preparation and follow up, preparation of financial statements, accounts and the different financial applications along with the development of coordination mechanisms to  organise workshops on the training of employees in financial skills.
