MoF receives delegation from the Ministry of Economy to discuss financial policy coordination processes

Following its efforts to enhance cooperation with various ministries and federal and local authorities in the UAE; the Ministry of Finance (MoF), represented by the Department of Coordination of Fiscal Policies, received a delegation from the Ministry of Economy. The visit aimed to inform visitors on the latest regulations adopted by the Ministry regarding financial policy coordination between ministries and federal authorities. The visit took place at the Ministry’s premises in Dubai.

MoF gave two presentations for the visiting delegation. One of them provided an overview of the Department of Coordination of Fiscal Policies’ role and tasks. It also detailed projects managed by the Department and its technical group, consolidated financial reports, Emirates Gate of GFS reports along with a the Department’s main objectives for 2013.

The second presentation provided details related to the classifications of jobs at the Federal Government level which included criteria such as the relevant department, its tasks, and the concept of dual classification of expenses according to occupation and economic situation. Furthermore it demonstrated some examples of the same and highlighted the mechanisms required to deal with them.

Commenting on the visit, H.E. Younis Haji Al Khouri, Undersecretary of MoF, stressed on the importance of hosting similar meetings to promote the principles of cooperation between various government officials. These visits fall in line with MoF’s role of continuously informing government parties on the latest financial regulations and mechanisms applied it the UAE, which contributes in achieving mutual benefit for all and in enhancing the country’s leading position.
