Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation Organises Blood Drive to Mark ‘Year of Giving 2017’

The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) organised a blood donation drive in collaboration with the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) and the Dubai Blood Donation Centre.
The campaign seeks to help the blood bank meet its needs; it forms part of the Foundation’s commitment to social responsibility and complements its efforts to promote volunteer work and humanitarian values. It also highlights MBRF’s keenness to strengthen community engagement, support charity work, and spread health-related awareness among employees and visitors, who turned up in droves to support the effort.
“The blood donation drive aligns with our commitment to promoting social responsibility among our employees,” noted MBRF’s CEO His Excellency Jamal bin Huwaireb. “It establishes charity and giving as a way of life and a community culture. It is our responsibility, as government entities, to encourage humanitarian and volunteer work as a means to strengthen our social bonds and community cohesion.”
H.E. went on to applaud the Dubai Blood Donation Centre for its constant efforts to cooperate with various government and private entities and organise blood donation campaigns across the UAE. The Centre also provides medical teams that manage the blood transfusion system in the country, and supplies blood units for patients and those in need.
