Nawras Goodwill Journey touches the lives of over 7000 individuals and families during the past 8 years

Nawras, Oman’s customer friendly communications provider, has reached out to more than 7,000 individuals and families through its Goodwill Journey since itfirst began in 2005. Over the past eight years, fasting volunteers of the Nawras Goodwill Journey have visited over 150 charitable organisations and non-Government organisations in the Sultanateand travelled over 48,000 kilometres across the country to bring joy to the people of Oman during the holy month of Ramadhan.
Commenting on the caring initiative, Saleh bin Nasser Al-Riyami, Nawras Board Director, said: "The Nawras Goodwill Journey is the cornerstone of the company's corporate social responsibility programme. It is the first initiativeof its kind,whichaims to spread smiles across the country year after year. Our contributionssupportcharitable associations in their valued work of enhancing local communities throughactivities and services designed to empower those most in need."
He added, “Nawras has always been a caring organisation, starting with its family and extending to reach all corners of the country. We have worked diligently to instil a culture of giving through the annual Nawras Goodwill Journey and believe that by working together everyone can make a difference and have a more powerful and greater impact.”
Each year, Nawras Goodwill Messengers ensure that the journey is tailored to the different needs and requirements of the chosen associations. Donations range from basic household items including cooking utensils, refrigerators and washing machines to water coolers and air conditioners.Nawras also donates special needs equipment such as wheelchairs and headsets and the latest technological devices including laptops, monitors, printers, televisions and iPads.
