Nawras receives international industry Platinum Award for 2011 Annual Report

The Nawras 2011 Annual Report recently received the Platinum Award for excellence at the Vision Awards organised by the League of American Communications Professions (LACP). Scoring 99 out of 100, the Nawras Annual Report 2011 was recognised for its ‘exceptional characteristics’ and set it apart ‘as one to be truly celebrated’ and acknowledged the Nawras entry as the 8^th Best Annual Report at this year’s competition among the top 100 annual reports worldwide. 

Ahmed Al-Humaidi, Nawras Investor Relations Manager, said, “Out of over 5000 entries, our Annual Report achieved almost full marks, emerging with the maximum points for the cover, the letter to shareholders, the report narrative and financials, creativity, clarity and accessibility. It is a testament to the hard work and commitment of all Nawras Family Members that the company is run with transparency towards customers and shareholders, with our efforts recognised by an international organisation.” 

The competition featured entrants from 800 organisations, representing 25 countries on five continents, making it the world’s largest annual report competition. Less than one-fifth of entrants qualified for an award, and Nawras received a further award at this year’s competition, picking up Best Letter to Shareholders. 

Currently, more than 30,000 subscribers receive the monthly newsletter from LACP, which shares best practices, provides tools, tips, and resources for professionals. The quarterly competitions routinely include hundreds of entries from some of the most recognised organisations throughout the world. Nine of the current top 10 Fortune 500 companies regularly enter LACP competitions and a large proportion of the top 100 firms also take part.
