The National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) has signed an agreement with the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland – Medical University of Bahrain (RCSI Bahrain) to extend its education financing solutions to the existing and prospective students. The signing ceremony was held on the 12th October 2022 at NBB’s headquarters in the presence of Mr Subah Abdulatif Al Zayani, Chief Executive – Retail Banking at NBB and Mr Stephen Harrison-Mirfield, Managing Director at RCSI Bahrain as well as representatives from both institutions.

As part of its commitment to investing in the community, NBB will be providing RCSI Bahrain’s students with the opportunity to make use of the Bank’s education loan product including any current promotions. The financing solution offers a tenure of up to seven years with a quick and seamless approval process. Customers will also benefit from zero processing and zero insurance fees alongside competitive interest rates. Moreover, applicants who apply before 31st December 2022 could be one of the two lucky winners to win back one year of the Education Finance instalments.

Commenting on the agreement, Mr Subah Abdulatif Al Zayani, Chief Executive – Retail Banking at NBB, said: “We are pleased to collaborate with RCSI Bahrain to provide their students with an array of products and services in line with their day to day requirements to support them through their educational journey. NBB is able to continuously invest in key community areas by providing Education Financing solutions to its customers. We aim to contribute continuously to the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and lead Bahraini students towards a prosperous future.”

Mr Stephen Harrison-Mirfield, Managing Director at RCSI Bahrain, commented: “Our collaboration with NBB provides an opportunity for greater participation in medical and health sciences higher education and consequently contributes to supporting the health sector of Bahrain. As part of our social responsibility, we want to remind students and their families that the Education Financing solutions come with a liability, which needs to be evaluated as a short-term and long-term outlook. We look forward to developing our ongoing collaboration with NBB as we nurture the next generation of healthcare practitioners in Bahrain.”
