NBB Group Chief Executive Officer Joins High-Level Panel Discussion on the Future of Digital Assets at Fintech Forward 2025

The National Bank of Bahrain (NBB) participated in Fintech Forward 2025 for the third consecutive year, showcasing its ongoing support for the Kingdom’s premier financial technology forum. As part of the Bank’s engagement at the two-day event, Usman Ahmed, Group Chief Executive Officer, joined a distinguished panel discussion titled “Charting the Next Frontier for Digital Assets.”
The panel gathered leading voices from the financial and technology sectors to examine the emergence of a new class of blockchain-enabled digital financial solutions, including stablecoins and central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), as well as AI-driven wallets. The experts addressed how these innovations are reshaping the financial landscape by blurring the lines between payments, assets and infrastructure, while also navigating the eventual complexities of fragmented governance, inconsistent technology standards, and varying regulatory approaches across global markets.
